Environmental Management Systems

This two-day course provides participants with the core competencies to implement environmental management systems to meet the requirements of the ISO 14001:2015 standard.

Upon successful completion of this course participants will have gained the following knowledge and skills and be able to:

• Understand the terminology, intent and how to meet the requirements of ISO 14001:2015
• Use environmental management tools such as aspect and impact evaluation to identify how an organisation’s processes can impact on the environment
• Set up environmental management systems and document procedures to identify methods of environmental protection and assist in ensuring legal compliance
• Use monitoring and measurement techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of the environmental management system

Exemplar Global Recognition

This course is combined with the Exemplar Global Auditing Environmental Management Systems competencies, so upon successful completion attendees will be qualified to conduct both Internal (1st Party) and Supplier (2nd Party) environmental audits. 

Prerequisites
Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous to have some knowledge of management systems and Standards.

Activities and Assessment
All training features assessment activities comprising a mix of practical exercises, case studies and written knowledge-based assignments.
